Terms of Service

These Terms of Service govern your use of PhraseWeaver, a language learning platform operated by PhraseWeaver ("we," "us," or "our"). By creating an account you agree to these terms.

1. Service Description

PhraseWeaver is a subscription-based language learning service that provides access to a library of study islands, AI-assisted content creation, pronunciation assessment, and spaced-repetition review tools. The service is available through the website phraseweaver.com.

2. Subscription Plans and Billing

We offer two paid subscription plans:

• Basic — $1.99 per month. Full access to the Global Island Library, unlimited flashcard and audio study, AI pronunciation assessment, mastery tracking, and spaced-repetition review.
• Premium — $9.99 per month. Everything in Basic, plus tools to create and edit your own custom islands, 1,000 audio credits per billing cycle, and Deep Dive pronunciation analysis.

Subscriptions renew automatically each month on the anniversary of your first payment. You will be charged the applicable plan price to the payment method on file. Unused audio credits expire at the end of each billing cycle and do not roll over.

You may cancel your subscription at any time through the Account page or by contacting us. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period; you retain access until then.

3. Refund Policy

Subscription fees are non-refundable except where required by applicable law. If you believe you were charged in error, contact us at support@phraseweaver.com within 14 days of the charge and we will review your request.

4. Acceptable Use

You agree to use PhraseWeaver only for lawful personal language-learning purposes. You must not:

• Attempt to access other users' accounts or data
• Reverse-engineer, scrape, or copy the service or its content in bulk
• Use the service to transmit unlawful, harmful, or abusive content
• Resell or sublicense access to the service

5. Content Ownership

Global Island Library content is owned by PhraseWeaver and licensed to you for personal study only. Custom islands you create remain your content; you grant us a limited license to store and process them in order to provide the service. We do not claim ownership over content you create.

6. Account Termination

You may delete your account at any time from the Account page. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms. On termination, your data is deleted in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

7. Limitation of Liability

PhraseWeaver is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the service. Our total liability to you for any claim shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.

8. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, United States, without regard to conflict-of-law provisions. Disputes shall be resolved in the courts of San Francisco County, California.

9. Changes to These Terms

We may update these terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by email or by a notice in the application. Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
